Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. This site does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or through a contact form may contain an address, name, and any details the sender chooses to provide. We retain that message as needed to answer it and do not share it outside the organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal web systems may record an IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, pages opened, time spent on a page, referring site, and request timestamps. Cookies help measure how visitors move through the pages. A browser can reject cookies, although parts of the site or an outside tool may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the site and maintain acceptable speed.
- Send a requested search to the chosen partner.
- Learn which guides visitors use.
- Diagnose errors and technical problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Links and Advertising Systems
Links may lead to Logan County offices, Kentucky corrections and court portals, federal locators, release records, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Advertising companies may measure activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems, not as an official Logan County record function.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by a search partner that receives a query, an analytics provider, an advertising network, or a government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service is completely secure, so this notice does not promise that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access can never happen.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of information held about them, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Kentucky public records held by an agency are governed by that agency and the Kentucky Open Records Act, including KRS 61.872. This site cannot edit an agency record.
Changes to This Notice
This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with its new effective date.
